what you can do: if you want to stop nearly all un-requested catalogs from showing up at your door you can do so by adding your name and address to the direct marketing association's opt-out file. nearly all catalogers belong to the dma and as members we are required to check all rental lists against the dma opt-out file before every mailing. therefore, if your name and address are rented from one company by another company, it will be dropped from the mailing. if you would like to add your name to this file you will need to write to the dma at:
