Great style, but small details are lacking
My wife and I love the way this rack looks, so we bought two of them. However, the rack has two design flaws. The first flaw is that the metal bar (at the hinge), which is supposed to support one side of the rack, runs only across two of the 50 vertical bars. This causes those two bars on the lower side to deform when many/heavy magazines are stacked on it. The bar needs to run horizontally across the entire hinged width of the rack. The second issue is that the edges of the rack are very sharp 90 deg angles. This makes the rack a dangerous obstacle for exposed shins and ankles. The corners will also scrape off paint if you set the rack next to a wall. If the edges were beveled, the rack would be much safer.

elegant and beautiful
This magazine rack is not only unusual but beautifully made. It's like a piece of modern sculpture and goes wonderfully in our contemporary house. We are using it in the bedroom next to the fireplace and it looks great and also holds a lot of magazines!
