Worth The Money
Overall, I think that the value for the money of this piece is very good. In some aspects, it looked better than in the picture, but it didn't quite live up to the picture in some others. I worried that the edges might have imperfect seams and/or sharp/raw edges,but the edges on the cube and base are actually slightly rounded. The base is all one piece, the polished metal finish extending underneath the base, with four pads to prevent scratching of furniture. Not those tacky felt circles they put on things when it's too much trouble to finish the bottom. Although the simple and geometric, the overall effect is more elegant than industrial. The sides of the cube, however, tend to bow in either a slightly convex or concave manner, depending on the side. This is slight, however, and doesn't really affect the overall presentation. It is a very cool piece and I'm glad I bought it. It's not perfect, but for the quality, it's priced about right.

Item had an indentation along one edge, obviously the result of poor construction. Too bad. Could have been nice.
