great style
The style and flexibility are a real plus. Although it's not real leather, it appears to be of a very high quality "leatherette." The wood arms are very thick and sturdy. I was at first apprehensive that the metal legs had lumpy welding that would be visible, but once it was assembled, the welding is not visible, and the legs are quite sleek and look good. Now, when it comes to assembling the chair, you'll have to invision it, because the directions are only really terrible pictures, and they don't show anything about attaching the arms, which were easy enough, except for the fact that, as opposed to the appearance of the arms in the picture on the website, the arms arrived with one end narrower than the other. So you know, the narrow end points toward the back--it's the only way the screw holes fit. Also, the directions show the parts that are included, but the sizes of the screws as pictured don't match reality. The one that appears to be the smallest screw in the directions is also longer than 4 others in the same bag with flat heads. Use the flat-headed ones to attach the feet to the legs, and the 16 others in the same bag to attach the legs to the chair. The screws with removable heads are used for the arms. It makes for easy removal of the arms, as you only need to remove the heads of the screws to pull the arms off should you wish. The size is really ample, and though it replaces a smaller chair in the same spot in my home, the clean lines and simple color scheme gives the appearance of more space. I can't wait to expand it and use it as a bed to watch a movie. I give it a 4 as opposed to a 5 as the quality could be more thorough, and the directions were useless. Also, although the free truck delivery inside my home was great, you're on your own for box/cardboard removal, and you get 2 huge boxes with this purchase. I have seen websites that offer a white glove delivery where simple assembly and material removal is included. I would consider paying an additional fee to have this option for future Chiasso purchases.
