Not bad for the price but pictures misleading.
I am seriously not happy with the pictures used here. To me they gave the impression the main tube of the lamp would be made of one piece or at least appear as one. In fact, it is three parts which have to be screwed together. This wouldn't be much of an issue but the sections where the tubes interconnect are clearly visible - there are actually two ridges with about a 1/5 in distance at around 2 and 4 ft from the floor. The on/off switch also is a little more pronounced than on the picture plus there is little screw cap on the other side of the lamp so you can't quite turn the switch to the back to see only a smooth surface. Unluckily, this can not clearly be seen from the pictures unless you see the lamp in real life and then know where too look on the pictures. As another reviewer mentioned, the light of this lamp is not extremely bright and the emitted light is *very* much on the cold side - even for me who likes cold light, this is a little too much. Think of air plane reading light. It certainly is not a bad lamp for this price but I am sending it back.

cool looking – not functional
We were excited to add this sleek light to our new office. Unfortunately, the cool factor doesn't translate to the light. This puts out very little light and we were pretty disappointed. If you're looking for style alone, this is your product. If you are looking for a lamp that actually brightens your space, look elsewhere.

Cool light - that works well
I have now purchased 5 of these sleek looking lamps - and love them. They look great and work well. Plenty of light for reading in a limited area. Not really designed as an ambient light - although a few might also create dramatic islands of light in a room. I don't know how long the lamps last or how easy they will be to replace. Also not certain as to whether the switch (on the pole) will be rugged enough to hold up over time. It looks difficult - if not impossible - to replace. Those very minor concerns a side - it is a great lamp and a good deal!

floor tube lamp
We could not seem to find a floor lamp that was both functional, simple & unique -- until we saw this one! It's all 3 in one ! There's no glaring light, yet enough of it. Lights up corners & over the computer. We plan to order 1 or 2 more. If you don't want a floor lamp that takes all the attention in a room, this is great!
